We create and sell children’s books, guided journals, and digital ebooks (PDF). We sell directly on our website for South Africa and also offer products on Amazon for international customers.

2) Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our site and sales are intended for adults; parents/guardians may purchase for children.

3) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.

4) Products and Availability

  • We offer physical books and guided journals, as well as digital ebook PDFs.
  • Some items are sold on our site for South Africa; many titles are also available on Amazon for international purchase.
  • Descriptions, images, and pricing may change without notice. Minor variations may occur. Stock levels may be limited.

5) Pricing, Taxes, and Currency

  • Prices on our site are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • VAT (if applicable) and shipping fees are displayed at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel orders affected by such errors.

6) Ordering and Payment

  • On-site orders: Payments are processed securely via Yoco. We do not store full card details.
  • Amazon orders: If you purchase through Amazon, your order is governed by Amazon’s terms and policies, including payment and fulfillment.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order for any reasonable cause (e.g., fraud suspicion, stock issues, pricing errors). If we cancel after payment, you will receive a refund.

7) Shipping and Delivery (South Africa)

  • Courier: We ship via Courier Guy to addresses in South Africa.
  • Processing times: Typically 1–3 business days to dispatch.
  • Estimated delivery: 2–5 business days to major centers; 3–7 business days for outlying areas (estimates only).
  • Shipping fees: Calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel size/weight.
  • Delivery issues: Please ensure the delivery address and contact number are accurate. Risk of loss passes on delivery to the address provided.
  • Missed deliveries/returns: If a parcel is returned due to incorrect address or repeated failed delivery, re-delivery costs may apply.

For international orders, please purchase via our Amazon listings.

8) Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Physical products (purchased on our site in South Africa):

  • Returns window: 14 days from delivery for unused items in original condition/packaging.
  • How to start a return: Email [email protected] with your order number and reason.
  • Refunds: Issued to the original payment method once returned items are inspected. Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping is your responsibility
  • Damaged/incorrect items: Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos; we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

Digital products (ebook PDFs):

  • Non-refundable: Due to the nature of digital goods, all digital sales are final once the file is delivered/download link is provided.
  • Access issues: If you experience a file/download problem, contact us for support and we’ll assist.

Amazon purchases:

  • For items purchased on Amazon, please consult Amazon’s returns and refunds policy. We do not control Amazon orders.

9) Digital Products License

When you purchase or download our digital ebooks:

  • License: Personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license.
  • Restrictions: No redistribution, reselling, sharing in public forums, uploading to file-sharing sites, or creating derivative works without our written permission.

10) Accounts and Security

  • You may create an account to place orders and access downloads.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login details and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

11) Intellectual Property

  • All content, including book text, illustrations, images, logos, and downloadable files, is owned by or licensed to Literary Beginnings and protected by applicable law.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written consent, except as permitted under the Digital Products License above.

12) User Content (Reviews, Comments)

  • By posting reviews or comments, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your content for site operations and marketing.
  • You represent that you own or have permission to post your content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate laws. We may moderate or remove content at our discretion.

13) Third-Party Links and Marketplaces

  • Our site links to Amazon product pages for convenience. These are not affiliate links.
  • Your use of third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon, social media) is governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

14) Educational and Faith-Based Content

Our materials are educational and inspirational. They are not professional advice. Parents/guardians should supervise children’s use of materials and exercise discretion.

15) Limitation of Liability
